How Can I Put My Business on Autopilot?
You can put your business on autopilot without outsourcing by setting up a few simple tools: an autoresponder, content drip feed system, and a product launch system. Scheduling content or specific actions in advance is not hard to do, and you will find that you can get a lot of stuff scheduled when you are in the mood to do so, and then put it out of your mind forever.
The first thing you can do is schedule timed messages in the future for your autoresponder. Planning on launching a product in one week? Why not write all the promotional messages now, and set them on a timer, so you don’t have to worry about it? Posting a bunch of articles this month? Why not get them all ready to post on a timer now so you don’t have to go through all the repetitive work later?
You can do the same thing by adding a drip feed system for your content. Did you know that most modern blog software allows you to set the published dates for your posts in the future, so they will remain invisible until they are ready? There are also blog plugins that will let you upload a zip file containing lots of articles, and space them out accordingly. Once you have your blog posts scheduled, then guess what? You can add autoresponder messages on a timer as well to promote those to your list.
Finally, you can schedule product launches in advance. This can be as simple as setting up the payment buttons, but keeping the URL private until your autoresponder messages reveal the place to order to your mailing list subscribers. Or, you can add just one line of PHP code to show specific content (a “coming soon” page) before a given date, and the sales letter selling your product, after that launch date has passed.
Now that you have everything on autopilot, it’s not time to give up! Instead, work on making your next product launch, or next series of products, automatic. Write content for a paid monthly newsletter upsell. Create a backend product or find a high ticket affiliate product to promote to your buyers. Whatever you do, if you setup over-the-top automation a few times, you will have more profound product launches than many of the big names on the internet.
